Tray icon
What clicking magpie’s icon in the menu bar or tray opens
Bar icon
magpie’s icon beside Omarchy’s own in the bar; right-click opens the window
Provider in model names
Agents’ lists put each model’s provider after its name, or not after names you set
Codex subagents on any model
Codex’s OpenAI models hand subagents their tasks as text (multi-agent V1), so a GPT lead can spawn them on magpie’s other models. New threads only; Codex’s own multi_agent_v2 setting still wins
Long conversations
Codex and Claude Code compact a conversation at 272K tokens, or the size typed here, on a model with a larger window, unless its provider has a Compact at of its own; in Claude Code a Claude model runs to its own window, 1M for a [1m] one, as Anthropic runs it. The model’s full window lets any conversation grow further, with every turn slower and costlier

Open at login
Start magpie in the tray when you log in, so agents find the gateway from the start
Dock
Keep magpie in the Dock too, always or while its window is open, for Cmd-Tab and a menu bar too full to show its icon
Lightweight mode
A closed panel or window frees its page after a minute, about 100 MB each, and loads it anew when opened
Keep awake while agents work
Keeps this computer from going to sleep by itself while agents work through magpie and for ten minutes after; the display may still turn off
Detect agents in WSL
Looks in running WSL distros for agents to set up, their sessions and Claude Code; off, WSL is never asked anything and the agents found there are no longer shown
Session terminal
Used by the terminal button in Sessions; only apps registered for .command files appear
Allowances in the menu bar
Menu bar refresh
How often the allowances beside the icon are asked for again
Menu bar logos
Each subscription's logo before its numbers; off, the numbers alone with a thin line between subscriptions
Menu bar magpie icon
magpie's icon before the allowances; off, the allowances alone, and a click on one still opens the panel
Allowance display
How much of each window is used, or how much is left, on the Usage page, the panel and the menu bar
Currency
Number units
How a large count of tokens or requests is shortened on the Usage page and the panel
