Choosing a magpie model adds custom_provider.magpie there (the gateway, spoken to as Anthropic messages, with the catalog's models, efforts, limits and image support) and sets defaultModel to custom_provider:magpie/<model>; the user's own default and variant are kept and put back on reset, their comments, providers and keys on magpie's entry stay, and an emptied custom_provider goes. The Library installs skills into its skills folder; it reads no user-wide MCP file, so it gets no MCP target. Checked against @minimax-ai/code 0.5.10 in a sandbox HOME: mcode provider list shows magpie's entry and mcode exec reaches a fake upstream through it with magpie's key, model and effort; after a reset it loads the restored file. TestMiniMaxCode, TestMiniMaxCodeSync, TestMiniMaxCodeLeavesNoEmptyProviders, TestMiniMaxCodeDataDir and TestMiniMaxCodeSkills fail without the change. go vet, go build -tags nogui (darwin, GOOS=linux), GOOS=windows go build, go test -tags nogui ./... pass (TestUserPath and the Claude account tests pass alone).
