feat: improve microphone, chat and platform support
This release adds microphone processing controls and local chat controls, expands platform packages, and synchronizes the website and guides. It also fixes native H.264 input/format handling, signaling recovery, fresh STUN discovery, and UDP ownership during overlapping connections. This is **v1.8.0**. Browser/Server v23, Native control v9 and capture v7 remain unchanged, with the existing 1440p ceiling. Additional resolutions, capability negotiation and Magicsock are separate follow-up work. ## Validation - Full local Web check: 79 files / 1,317 tests, TypeScript and production build. - Full Go checks, platform builds and Windows native capture regressions/probe. - Native H.264 Host lifecycle, Browser-to-App fanout and App-exit recovery, and Native H.264 through embedded SFU: all passed with owned process/port/profile cleanup. - Website build, documentation and repository hygiene passed. Existing UI acceptance covers narrow screens, both languages/themes, architecture downloads and all 23 film checks; final packaging and Go race checks run on the merged revision in CI. - Physical macOS/Linux capture, representative public networks and unmatched field reports retain their documented evidence limits. The existing 1.x protocols remain unchanged. #### New and improved - Browser microphones now have a “Noise & echo reduction” toggle. Echo cancellation, noise suppression and automatic gain control are on by default; turn them off when appropriate for music or virtual audio inputs. - Adjust chat-overlay text size and opacity, and export retained messages as TXT. The current session keeps up to 1,000 text messages and clears on page refresh; export first if you want to keep them. - Added Intel Mac and Linux ARM64 App packages, plus Linux ARM64 Server and container images. The website provides architecture selectors and shows the latest release and publication date. - Updated the website demonstration, README screenshots and bilingual guides, clarifying that browser capture can also select windows or screens. A room-code placeholder keeps the bottom bar stable before sharing starts. - Added direct website links to troubleshooting, with steps for browser WebRTC restrictions, campus networks and Windows graphics issues. - The App mode-selection page now shows its free and open-source status, author and contributor credit, and links to the official website and source. #### Fixes - Corrected H.264 format compatibility checks and Windows encoder input-length and output-buffer alignment handling. - Retired stale reconnect tasks and Native receive signals so they cannot continue affecting the current session. - Fixed App reconnection reusing an expired public address. Fresh discovery handles lost probes and stale responses while preserving other working connections. - Fixed UDP socket conflicts between overlapping App media connections so preparing or canceling a replacement preserves the active picture. Closing a connection now cancels unfinished gateway mapping requests. - Connection recovery on passwordless sites no longer incorrectly asks for a site passphrase. - Expired-room and session-termination reasons now use the same TV status indicator before and during sharing, without an extra notice strip. - Corrected Linux native capture timestamps and keyframe time bases. Windows remains x64-only. macOS packages support Apple silicon and Intel; native capture requires macOS 13 or newer. feat(ui): add illustrated hints and playback gestures
## Problem and outcome / 问题与结果 App startup rejected short or non-ASCII site passwords, viewers lacked picture-click playback gestures, and text-mode hints hid the existing illustrations. This phase accepts site passwords verbatim, combines shared illustrations with localized captions in tooltips and stage overlays, and adds desktop single-click play/pause and double-click fullscreen through the existing playback owner. Pure-visual mode remains available. App ZIP names are now stable per platform, allowing the website to use GitHub's native latest-download URLs. The App update link selects the ZIP matching its compiled OS and architecture from the checked release metadata, falling back to the release page if the package is unavailable. Verified Gitee links retain their explicit release version. The Windows packaging workflow also stops restoring a redundant Go toolchain cache that caused setup-go to fail. ## Release notes ### 中文 - 中英文操作提示和画面状态覆盖层加入动态漫画，说明更直观；纯视觉模式继续保留。 - 观众可单击画面暂停或继续播放，双击进入或退出全屏；触屏仍通过单击显示或隐藏播放栏。 - 修复设置短密码、中文密码时 App 或 Server 无法启动的问题。站点密码仍可留空。 - 官网各系统的 GitHub 下载按钮直接获取最新 ZIP 包，并保留 Gitee 备用下载线路。 - App 内的更新入口直接下载对应系统和架构的 ZIP 包。 ### English - Chinese and English tooltips and picture status overlays now pair concise explanations with animated illustrations. Pure-visual mode remains available. - Viewers can click the picture to pause or resume and double-click to enter or exit fullscreen. Touch taps continue to show or hide playback controls. - Fixed App and Server startup rejecting short or non-ASCII site passwords. Site passwords remain optional. - Each platform's GitHub download button now fetches the latest ZIP package, with Gitee retained as an alternative download source. - App update links download the ZIP matching the installed platform and architecture. ## Verification / 验证 - `npm run check`: 59 test files / 774 tests, TypeScript and production build passed. - `npm run check:client-core`: Go tests, formatting, vet and supported local target builds passed for the included runtime changes. Native macOS packaging remains on its macOS runner. - Desktop and 390px touch playback checks passed, including double-click without an intermediate pause and control/keyboard interaction. - Illustrated tooltip checks passed in Chinese, English and pure-visual modes, light/dark themes, 260/360/390px layouts, keyboard, touch hold and reduced motion. User accepted the resulting UI. - Real stage overlay components passed 46 checks across the three modes and 260/390/1280px layouts, including keyboard play activation, reduced motion, and no overlay over healthy playback with a quality limitation. - Bounded release review confirmed JSON password authentication retains old bodyless Bearer compatibility and ZIP names match packaging, publisher, mirror and website consumers. - After checking both providers' real API shapes, 27 focused update tests and type-checking passed; anonymous GitHub and Gitee metadata each selected all three actual platform ZIPs without downloading them. - Documentation, repository hygiene and diff checks passed. ## Impact / 影响 Compatible feature release. Signaling, Native control, capture protocol and persistent room schema are unchanged. The new latest-download filenames must be published before the matching website deploys; the existing CI-to-Website sequence provides that order. Production service updates use the immutable Server artifact and bounded rollback. Broader physical macOS/Linux, network and endurance acceptance stays under the existing documented deferrals. |

feat: launch Piik with a unified interface and public website
Piik now has one public presentation and a coordinated App/Server release path. This phase unifies the room UI, rewrites the bilingual README and guides, adds a static website with an inline product film, and prepares matching GitHub/Gitee packages and update links. The film uses the current homepage and shared product controls on one seekable timeline. Runtime fixes preserve presentation when the App opens a room, normalize Site origins, and keep capture and media-recovery status in the television indicator. New visits use Chinese for a Chinese system language and English otherwise; explicit language and visual-mode choices remain available. An optional site passphrase controls site entry, while room authorization remains enforced. GitHub is the release authority. Gitee mirrors verified packages and provides update metadata when GitHub is unavailable. Reviewed PR release notes become the GitHub Release description. The separate public demo uses P2P only, with HTTPS and STUN verified. Validation: 756 Web tests, TypeScript and production build; Go core tests, formatting, vet and available target builds; bounded Windows capture and App/Site interoperability; browser film checks, audible playback and narrow layouts; anonymous Gitee Windows-package download, checksum and launcher/update-link checks. Public demo acceptance covers authenticated WebSocket signaling, synthetic P2P video and room cleanup on one network. macOS/Linux physical capture and the wider device/network/endurance matrix remain explicitly deferred. Publication builds every package from the merged source SHA. The repository is public, main protection is active, and Pages is configured for piik.tv. feat: rename product and runtime to Piik
Rename the active product, Go module, binaries, configuration, protocols and documentation to Piik while retaining the TV mascot and existing media/room behavior. Use one current private contract without old-name aliases. Preserve SQLite authority and copy compatible local settings once; other settings start fresh. Git-message cleanup and the infrastructure name cutover are coordinated with this phase, with original history and deployment data archived externally. Validated locally with Web and Go checks, Windows capture compilation, matched Client/Server builds, packaged Client control handshake and history-rewrite integrity checks.
